Ever since I bought my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ on Amazon during last year's Prime Day, I've used it almost every day to watch shows, stream videos, and play games in my spare time. It's been invaluable to me.
I've found them to be super convenient because they are portable and powerful. Depending on the device, the screen can look absolutely gorgeous, with some sporting bright and colourful AMOLED screens.
Sky has a great deal on this Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, which might be the perfect companion for shows and games. The Galaxy Tab S9 has a large 11" display and delivers crisp details and fluid 120Hz visuals, while its Vision Booster ensures views stay bright even outside, with up to 800 nits of brightness.
It's not got a screen as big as my S9+, but it will look just as good. One of the best things is that tablets are now just as durable as phones.
The S9 sports IP68 resistance to water and dust. It's also super thin at only 6.0mm, meaning the Galaxy Tab S9 easily fits in bags, so buyers can carry their work and fun anywhere. I regularly slip mine into my bag without issues, whether it's work or on holiday, without needing to worry about lugging around a big laptop.
This Sky deal is £24 a month for the tablet with no upfront cost on a 48-month contract - but Sky lets Samsung fans swap their device for a new one in 36 months. Shoppers can also lower the contract to 36 months - but they will pay more each month.
For those wanting some alternatives, shoppers could pick up the Samsung Galaxy S9 FE for £449, complete with a free S Pen. Express Deputy Tech Editor Henry Burrell has reviewed the S9 FE+ and called it a 'mega-mid range tablet'.
Alternatively, for £17 a month, Apple fans can getthe 11-inch iPad Air device with the new M3 chip.
Review from shoppers also highlight the S9 features. One shopper said: "I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 to replace my old tablet after replacing my old phone with a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and I am so happy with the move.
"The Tab S9 feels like a huge upgrade from the old tablet and integrates perfectly with the S25 Ultra. I often watch media on my tablets, and the display and speakers are brilliant for this."
However, some shoppers did complain about the lack of connectivity. The reviewer added: "The tablet performs exactly as I wish. However the connectivity is poor with just the one USBC connection and cannot be connected to my TV as a PC can.
"An HDMI port would help. Also the book cover relies on magnetism to fit but the lock is easy to break."
