Ruben Amorim speaks volumes with new awkward request to five Man Utd exiles

Manchester United now expect exiled quintet Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia to start reporting to Carrington, according to reports. However, Ruben Amorim has seemingly taken measures to ensure there is no cross-contamination with his first team squad during pre-season.

United made the facilities at Carrington available to the five outcasts last week while Amorim got to work with the players who are a part of his plans on the training pitches. Rashford is believed to have clocked in to use them as he continues to explore a permanent move away from Manchester.

According to The Athletic, all five are now required to report to the training ground, but only when Amorim and his squad have finished for the day.

It's claimed that the out-of-favour stars have been asked to only arrive at Carrington for training after 5pm once the main group has departed.

Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho, Antony and Malacia will also be expected at the training base this weekend, while Amorim and his squad visit Stockholm for their first pre-season fixture against Leeds United.

The Red Devils previously stated that all five players' absences were because they had requested to leave the club this summer.

Yet, the report adds that some of the stars' camps deny that and insist their clients were ready to train with their team-mates from last Monday.

United will want to offload the quintet as soon as possible, given the importance of player sales in regards to the club's summer transfer plans.

Amorim needs to generate funds through sales to afford further signings after Bryan Mbeumo, with talks ongoing for the Brentford forward.

Mbeumo's arrival would increase United's summer spending to over £125million after Matheus Cunha's £62.5m move.

Amorim is also said to want a new striker, midfielder and wing-back ahead of the 2025/26 season in a bid to transform his squad.

Andre Onana's hamstring injury, which could rule him out of the start of the season, may also add cover in goal to his wishlist.

There is interest in United's outcasts, but Rashford, Sancho and Antony's eye-watering salaries are proving problematic for clubs Barcelona, Juventus and Real Betis, respectively.

Meanwhile, Garnacho has rejected interest from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr. He wants to remain in Europe, marking a Premier League stay as his preference.
