Netflix is set to remove a huge 36 titles from its streaming platform on November 1, meaning film and TV enthusiasts have just days to catch their favourite films and series before they are removed.
Some of the big titles include ones from the Fast and Furious series, all four Shrek films, Sherlock Holmes, and more. Both Gene Hackman's Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and Johnny Depp's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will also be removed from Netflix, and fans are not happy at all.
Subscribers have taken their anger to social media, voicing their thoughts about the upcoming removals, with many particularly upset about having to say goodbye to Shrek.
One said, "Curse you Netflix" as a response to the removal of the Shrek films, while another said, "I'm going to be sad when they take Shrek off Netflix", reports Daily Mail.
A third wrote: "SHREK IS LEAVING NETFLIX? ALL OF THEM?
Another subscriber even addressed the streaming platform directly, begging them to "stop taking away my favourite shows/movies."
They added: "First the Vampire Diaries, then Shrek, then you brought it back, now it's leaving again! AND PLEASE bring back The Vampire Diaries."
Although Netflix is removing a string of favourites, the platform will also be adding a ton of new titles, including The Back to the Future Trilogy, all the Hangover films, Charlie's Angels, Crazy Rich Asians, and many more.
It's also good news for Stranger Things fans, as the fifth and final season of the show will premiere next Month. Volume 1, consisting of episodes one to four, will be released on November 26, while episodes five, six, and seven of Volume 2 will follow on Christmas Day, and the Finale on New Year's Eve.
