Alexander Isak has reportedly been offered an astonishing £32million contract to ditch European football for Saudi Arabia. The striker, who also has interest from Liverpool, seems increasingly likely to leave Newcastle after informing the Magpies that he wants to leave.
Isak has not travelled on Newcastle's pre-season tour of Asia and is training alone. The official reason for his absence is said to be a minor injury. Wide-ranging reports claim that the 25-year-old has asked to leave Newcastle, though, and Liverpool are interested in a potential £150m deal. Mega-rich Saudi Arabian teams are also determined to land one of the world's most in-demand forwards.
According to The Sun, Al-Hilal have offered Isak a blockbuster contract that includes £32m per year as a basic salary. That is £600,000 each week, £480,000 more than his reported Newcastle wage.
Al-Hilal's offer reportedly includes an eye-watering £14m signing-on bonus, £30,000 for each goal, £18,000 for an assist, a £3.6m bonus for winning the Saudi Pro League, and £1.75m for becoming the league's top scorer.
Other incentives include having a house paid for by the club, four full-time staff, £120,000 in personal expenses, and a private jet and chauffeur. To top it all off, if Al-Hilal win the Asian Champions League, the Sweden international would receive £3.8m.
His salary would make Isak the fifth-highest earner in Saudi football. Only Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema and Riyad Mahrez earn more than the proposed money. Al-Hilal are one of the four Saudi clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund, which has an 85 per cent majority stake in Newcastle.

However, the catch is reportedly that Isak only has eyes for Liverpool. The Reds, who have already spent £265m this summer, present the likeliest destination for Isak in European football. Not many other clubs, particularly in England, have the money Newcastle are demanding for their prized asset.
Only a figure in the region of £150m is going to tempt the Tyneside outfit to the negotiating table. Liverpool also only recently signed a new striker - Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt for £79m. It remains to be seen whether the Premier League champions want to spend another mammoth fee on a starting-quality forward.
Isak, who scored 27 goals across all competitions last season, still has three years remaining on his Newcastle contract.
