After the massive success of Pushpa and Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun is gearing up for a fresh project with director Atlee, backed by a whopping budget of 800 crores. The film, known as AA22xA6, will mark the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone, with Sun Pictures investing heavily in the venture. Now, exciting news has emerged that a major Hollywood star is being considered for the dreaded villain’s role.
Reports from Cinejosh reveal talks are underway to bring Hollywood superstar Will Smith on board as the antagonist. This film is expected to showcase Allu Arjun in a double role, further raising fans’ anticipation. Alongside Deepika Padukone, actress Mrinal Thakur is also rumored to be part of the cast.
The project is being developed on a grand scale, involving a top Hollywood VFX studio known for work on blockbuster franchises like Avengers, Spider-Man, and Wonder Woman. The makers’ decision to cast Will Smith could bring an international edge to the film, though an official confirmation is still awaited.
Will Smith’s name has remained in the headlines after the infamous 2022 Oscars incident, where he slapped host Chris Rock over a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Despite the controversy, his casting would be a bold and noteworthy move for the film.
Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 has already achieved blockbuster status, grossing over 1800 crores worldwide. Deepika Padukone’s last big film was Singham Again, following the success of Kalki 2898AD, which crossed the 1000 crore mark.
