The Summer I Turned fans predict S3 endgame as they prepare for 'longest week ever'

Belly Conklin'slove triangle drama will come to an end next week and fans are convinced they have figured out which brother she chooses.

Based on Jenny Han's beloved YA novels, the Prime Video show follows Belly (Lola Tung) as she navigates her conflicting feelings for the Fisher brothers, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Christopher Briney).

The Summer I Turned Pretty's (TSITP) latest series has seen Belly and Jeremiah break off their engagement, with the former jetting off to France and sparking a new romance with Parisian Benito.

However, viewers are convinced the main character is set to reunite with her first love Conrad in the forthcoming finale, which premieres on September 17.

The latest instalment ended with Conrad ready to board a flight to Paris, while Belly was preparing for a new haircut. Before this, Benito had asked Belly to join him on a trip to Mexico to meet his family.

Taking to Reddit, one fan shared their predictions for the finale.

"Per my interpretation, the scene with Belly getting a haircut is basically her birthday so she’s already been to Mexico (hopefully). So I think, they’ll have her and Benito broken up amicably off screen (and remain friends)," they wrote.

The viewer went on to theorise that Conrad and Belly will reunite early in the upcoming episode and spend the day together in Paris.

But fans don't believe the pair will instantly rekindle their romance. However, viewers are convinced that Belly will stay in Paris and finish her studies, while slowly coming to terms with her unresolved feelings for Conrad.

TSITP fans also suspect that the couple will tie the knot years after their Parisian rendezvous.

The same viewer continued: "I think they’ll continue writing letters to each other, this is where the whole rebuilding their bond thing may happen (like in S2 when they’d talk on the phone) and then at her graduation in Paris, he shows up they get together once and for all. Then time jump to their proposal/wedding?

"Honestly episode 9 & 10 resolved all the side plot lines, so a supersized episode focused on Belly-Conrad is more than likely."

In episode ten, Conrad starts sending letters to Belly, though she doesn't respond. When she eventually sends him a postcard acknowledging the letters, Conrad works up the courage to visit her abroad.

Other fans in the thread have echoed similar theories, with many predicting that Belly had already broken up with Benito by the end of episode ten.

"I think Belly and Benito have already broken up. She's getting a new haircut and said that she's ready for something new this summer. That's code for "my relationship just ended and I'm getting a new haircut to start fresh," suggested one.

Prime Video viewers have also noted that Jeremiah advised Belly to "never" cut her hair at the beginning of the season, so her new hairstyle could symbolise the definitive end of 'Bellyjere'.

While their hypotheses may hold some weight, fans will have to wait until next week to see how Belly's story ends.

Another Reddit user jumped in to express their anticipation, penning: "This is going to be the longesssssst week ever."
