Manchester United's summer sale is now on. The Red Devils are actively working on offloading players, having finally confirmed their second major signing of the transfer window on Monday.
United welcomed Bryan Mbeumo after striking a deal with Brentford following weeks of fraught negotiations. Cameroon international Mbeumo arrives for a fixed fee of £65million plus £6m in performance related add-ons.
Mbeumo's addition follows that of Matheus Cunha, who the Red Devils had less hassle signing by triggering his £62.5million release clause at Wolves. Diego Leon is United's lesser-known third addition and the left wing-back made his non-competitive debut during Saturday's uninspiring 0-0 draw with Leeds.
Now the focus is on selling players, particularly the five members of Ruben Amorim's bomb squad: Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia. Only one of those, however, looks certain to depart.
