Man pays £10 for Nike trainers at charity shop but is bowled over by true worth

A man who paid £10 for a pair of Nike trainers in a local charity shop was bowled over to discover their true worth. Sammy, known as Sammy R Resells on TikTok, said he uncovered an "absolutely insane find" at a local charity shop recently, and he can't get over just what he managed to bag.

The content creator, who calls himself a "full-time reseller" on social media, opened up about the charity shop gem in a video, and people can't believe just how lucky he got. He said he's set to make a "big profit" on the find thanks to how much the trainers are worth.

In the clip, he said: "I found these trainers in a charity shop for a tenner. Now, if you don't know what these are, these are the Nike X Stüssy, I think they're called Cage 2 Fossil trainers.

"These were £10, and these sell for about £260. They're really weird - they look like a really woven material. They look like they're all like knitted, but they're so cool.

"They are a small women's size - they are size 3, and they have a small mark there, but we're going to try and get that stain out. And, yeah, £10 into a possible £260."

He then went on to look at some comparison prices on eBay and discovered that they sell for up to £260 when resold in the UK. Sammy admitted he may get a bit less for not having the box but, none the less, he's still set to make quite a chunk of money from selling them.

Sammy confessed he was super happy with the "insane" find, and couldn't believe how lucky he got. When you look at how much the trainers are worth, it's easy to see why he was so thrilled.

According to online guidance, the trainers can sell for anything from between £293.00 to £1,618.00. They can sometimes be worth hundreds, especially if they're new or practically new.

One thrilled fashion fan replied: "Would buy them if they were my size." Another wrote: "Unreal find."

A third replied: "Insane find there mate." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "They look pretty neat."

It looks like there may be a few different versions of the trainers available. Talking about one version, the Nike website states: "First released in 2003, the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 is as relevant today as it was back then.

"Its OG design gets a refresh with the Nike x Stüssy Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2. It features a look inspired by the tribe of relationships that unite to support a movement.

"A caged Zoom Air unit in the heel provides a responsive ride and a modern, technical look. The full-length foam midsole is lightweight and flexible, and durable rubber pods on the outsole provide traction where you need it."

Sometimes you can snap up absolute bargains at charity shops, and Sammy's latest find proves it. One person's junk appears to be another person's treasure.
