Gogglebox fans stunned by 'model' Giles Wood in throwback snap with wife Mary Killen

Gogglebox viewers have been left stunned after stumbling upon a vintage photograph of beloved duo Giles Wood and Mary Killen.

The married pair became part of the hit Channel 4 show back in 2015. It wasn't long before they won over audiences nationwide.

Throughout the years, Giles and Mary - who reside in Wiltshire - have kept viewers entertainedwith their sharp wit, clever quips and amusing commentary on television's biggest moments.

The pair first crossed paths at 21 when Giles was a student at Wimbledon Art School whilst Mary was pursuing a modelling career. They tied the knot three decades ago and welcomed two daughters.

Beyond their Gogglebox fame, Mary serves as an agony aunt and writes columns for The Spectator, plus she's penned several etiquette guides, including 'How the Queen Can Make You Happy'. Giles, meanwhile, contributes to The Oldie magazine, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Fans were absolutely floored when they spotted a charming vintage snap of the couple. The black-and-white image, posted on an Instagram fan page, showed the pair striking a pose for the camera.

Comments poured in as followers expressed their amazement. One fan gushed: "Gorgeous looking family." Another exclaimed: "What a handsome pair! Giles looks like a male model." A third admirer commented: "Wow you two! Stunning! Still are." Someone else agreed, writing: "Fantastic looking couple then and now."

Giles and Mary, long-time spouses and Gogglebox favourites, have revealed that the show was a marital lifeline for them.

In a candid chat with MailOnline, Giles disclosed: "Working together on Gogglebox watching telly at the same time meant Mary and I suddenly no longer lived like two intimate strangers."

He elaborated on their contrasting routines: "Mary working from 6am till 8pm, then falling asleep slightly drunk at 9pm; me gardening from 1pm till 3.30pm, when I have lunch, and then going to bed at two in the morning after watching vintage horror films. It has definitely saved our marriage."

Interestingly, it emerged that one of Giles and Mary's daughters almost joined her father on the programme but opted out just before filming commenced.
