EastEnders fans left 'sobbing' as they spot hidden detail in Kat and Zoe reunion

EastEnders viewers have been left in tears over Kat Moon and Zoe Slater's dramatic reunion in last night's episode after many spotted a huge detail in the cliffhanger scene. Last night's episode saw Zoe return to Albert Square after fleeing 20 years ago.

It marked the official return of star Michelle Ryan, who is best known for one of EastEnders' most iconic moments - when Kat revealed that she was Zoe's real mum and not her sister.

In yesterday's episode, fans watched as Tommy Moon found his half-sister Zoe and convinced her to return to Walford.

While Kat was panicking after fearing that she had lost Tommy, he soon turns up in a taxi and tells her: "Mum, I've brought you a present." Zoe then emerges from the cab, greeted by the shocked face of Kat. It comes after EastEnders set for major rescheduling shake-up amid huge Zoe Slater bombshell.

Fans have been left in tears over the long-awaited scene - particularly after many spotted that it took place in the exact same spot where Kat revealed to Zoe that she was her mother.

While Zoe grew up thinking that Kat was her sister, it came to light that she was actually a product of incest after Kat was raped by her uncle Harry Slater.

Viewers took to X to praise the moment, with one writing: "the exact same spot and everything oh my gawd #eastenders." Another said: "oh my. #eastenders."

A third wrote: "Pure cinema #EastEnders."

While a fourth said: "THE STORM, THE TENSION, THE SHOT. Kat and Zoe reuniting after a 20 years in the same place as THAT scene… EastEnders at it’s peak and back to it’s very best. #EastEnders."

Others were left in tears, with one writing, "mum i got you a present," alongside crying emojis and a GIF of a man crying. Another said: "MATEEE, the way i just sobbed at this, it was tommy's "mum i got you a present" for me #Eastenders."

Another hailed it as one of the best EastEnders cliffhangers ever.

Yesterday, it was revealed that there's a fallout ahead of Kat and Zoe, with Kat desperate to speak with Zoe in tonight's episode - however, Zoe is very different to the girl who left Walford.
