How is a fetus born?

The birth of a fetus is a long and complex process that continues from pregnancy to the birth of the child. There are many important stages in this process, with the help of which the baby is formed in the womb. It is divided into three main stages. Germinal, embryonic, and fetal. Most people do not know about these, but it can be very important to understand during pregnancy.

1. Germinal stage

This stage is the shortest stage after pregnancy. When the male sperm meets the female egg to form a zygote, it moves towards the uterus. During this process, the zygote divides several times and forms a blastocyst, which gets implanted in the uterine wall, and if it is successful, pregnancy begins, and the body starts producing hormones.

2. Embryonic stage

This stage lasts from the third week to the eighth week of pregnancy. During this time the blastocyst changes its size and is called an embryo. At this time, body parts like brain, arms, legs, and eyes start forming. The heart is also formed and it starts beating. During this time many women may also have morning sickness or vomiting.

3. Fetal stage

This stage lasts from the ninth week of pregnancy till birth. During this time, the sex of the foetus is determined and its essential parts start maturing. Hair, nails and eyelashes also grow. The foetus is now ready to move its limbs, although the woman cannot feel its movements until the 20th week of pregnancy. In this stage, the size and weight of the foetus increases rapidly.
