Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep concern over the recent situation in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and appealed to citizens to remain peaceful. The Prime Minister's Office tweeted that Shahbaz Sharif said peaceful protests are a constitutional and democratic right of every citizen, but protesters should refrain from disrupting public order.

The Prime Minister directed law enforcement agencies to treat protesters with restraint and patience. He emphasized that public sentiments must be respected and any unnecessary harshness must be avoided. The Prime Minister assured that the government is always ready to address the concerns of our Kashmiri brothers.

This committee includes Senator Rana Sanaullah, Federal Ministers Sardar Yusuf and Ahsan Iqbal, former President of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir Masood Khan, and Qamar Zaman Kaira.
The Prime Minister directed the committee to immediately proceed to Muzaffarabad to find a lasting solution. He appealed to the Action Committee members and leadership to cooperate with the government's Liaison Committee. The committee will send its recommendations and proposed solutions directly to the Prime Minister's Office so that immediate action can be taken.
Shahbaz Sharif also announced that he would personally oversee the contact process upon his return to the country. This move is seen as part of efforts to maintain peace in PoK, establish dialogue with protesters, and provide relief to affected families.
