Mumbai: With increasing footfall at Parel station due to the presence of several multinational companies, corporate offices, and major hospitals, there is a growing public demand for fast local trains to halt at the station. Responding to this, Maharashtra Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha announced that he will follow up with the railway authorities to ensure this request is considered.
The minister was speaking at a well-attended Janata Darbar (public grievance meeting) organized at the F South Ward office of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday.

Minister Lodha emphasized that the administration must directly connect with citizens to understand and address their problems. He said the initiative was in line with the direction of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who has urged cabinet ministers to reach out to people through such forums. Lodha reaffirmed his commitment to working continuously until public grievances are resolved, thereby strengthening the roots of democracy.
