OpenAI has launched a new feature, Pulse, for its AI chatbot, ChatGPT. Until now, using ChatGPT meant the user asked a question and the chatbot answered. However, Pulse will transform this experience. This feature will conduct its own research and deliver personalized updates daily. These updates can be viewed quickly as cards or read in detail. Sam Altman, CEO of the company, stated that this feature is initially available as a preview for Pro users on mobile.
Will Create Suggestions for Users
Sam Altman explained on the social media platform X that Pulse creates suggestions based on user chat history, feedback, and information from connected apps like Calendar or Gmail. For example, if you recently mentioned a sports event or fitness activity, it can suggest next steps. Or, if you have a trip planned in your calendar, Pulse can even provide restaurant recommendations. These apps will only connect if the user wishes. This means that this setting will be off by default, and turning it on or off will depend entirely on the user's choice. The world's leading companies are working to bring AI to the masses. You too can find a future in AI. Register for a career growth workshop from NBT Upskill AI and learn about this field from experts.
Tested with college students
Altman explained that this feature was tested with several college students, and their feedback has helped improve Pulse. However, the company also admits that this feature is currently limited in scope and may not always provide accurate suggestions. It may offer tips for a project you've already completed. But over time, it will continue to learn from your feedback and become more personalized.
How to use
Log in to a Pro account
