Rodrygo joins, £55m transfers completed - Arsenal dream end to the summer window

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta can sanction four more summers transfers ahead of deadline day - even after moves for are Piero Hincapie and Jakub Kiwior are confirmed.

The latter has got the green light to join Porto on loan for the 2025/26 season - which includes an obligation-to-buy - after a deal was agreed to sign Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen. football.london understands he will join on a temporary basis with a £45million option-to-buy and his medical set to take place this weekend.

With Arsenal having spent £250million this summer, not paying another transfer fee is masterful work from Berta. That could also allow for even more incomings to be sanctioned in the lead up to Monday's deadline.

Sealing exits will absolutely be the priority over the next 48 hours with Arteta needing his squad trimmed and funds raised following such a significant spend. The likes of Reiss Nelson, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira could all be moved on permanently.

There has been loose interest in all three over the last few months with Nelson wanted back by Fulham, German and Italian clubs linked to Zinchenko while Stuttgart have held talks for Vieira. That specific switch has gone quiet but could ramp up again following Nick Woltemade's £69million move to Newcastle.

Stuttgart were not keen on meeting Arsenal's £25million asking price but now do have the funds to bring him on board if they choose to. West Ham United have also entered the race to sign the Portugal international, as per Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg, as they look for more signings before deadline day.

Nelson returning to Craven Cottage is a possibility but their focus looks to be on signing Samuel Chukwueze of AC Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk wide forward Kevin. Crystal Palace have since opened talks to sign him, football.london understands. A deal in the region of £15million has been mooted.

According to The Athletic, Marseille are working on a deal to sign Zinchenko, who is valued at £15million, but a permanent move appears difficult given his lucrative Arsenal salary.

If a compromise is met and he joins the French club while Nelson and Vieira sign for Palace and Stuttgart, respectively, Arsenal could go back into the market for another signing.

That could end up being Real Madrid's Rodrygo with a move to Manchester City looking unlikely as Savinho's potential move to Tottenham has been blocked. A loan switch for the Brazil international could be the route taken with Rodrygo keen for regular minutes ahead of the World Cup next year.
